Frequently asked questions
The questions we are asked most often about Flints.
Is Flints free?#
Yes, Flints is free to use.
Is my data private?#
Your notes belong to your account and only you can see them — unless you share them yourself. Details are in the privacy policy.
Does it work offline?#
No, Flints currently needs an internet connection.
Does it work on a phone?#
Yes, Flints runs in the browser and adapts to phone screens. Some things, like dragging blocks, are easier on a computer.
Can I move over from Obsidian?#
Wikilinks use the same [[format]], so your Markdown files are compatible.
There is no direct vault import yet, but you can move notes across by pasting
them — Markdown text becomes real blocks automatically.
The other direction is easier: export your .md
files and drop them into an Obsidian vault.
How many notes can I have?#
There is no limit.
Can two people edit a note together?#
Not yet. Shared links are read-only. Real-time collaboration is on our list.
Why are some features marked "Coming soon"?#
The database, board, calendar, and chart blocks in the slash menu are still being built. We announce them on our Telegram channel as they land.
How do I report a bug or suggest something?#
Write to us in the Telegram group — we read it and reply.
