Tabs and navigation
Working with several notes at the same time.
Tabs work like a browser's: several notes stay open and you switch between them quickly.
Opening a tab#
- Pick a note in the sidebar — it opens in a new tab.
- The + button opens an empty tab.
- Clicking a wikilink also opens a new tab.
No duplicates#
If a note is already open in a tab, a second one is not created — Flints takes you to the existing tab instead. That way one note is never edited in two places at once.
Closing a tab#
Hover the tab and click the ×.
They persist#
Open tabs are kept in browser storage. Refresh the page, or close and reopen the browser, and your tabs are still there.
Quick switching#
Ctrl + K is the fastest way to navigate. Start typing a note name and press
Enter. See search.
Other buttons#
- The home button returns to the start screen.
- The map button opens the knowledge map.
Escleaves the open note and returns to the start screen.
