Share a note
Publishing a single note as a public link anyone can open.
Any note can be published as a public link, so people without a Flints account can read it.
Sharing#
- Open the note.
- Click Share in the top bar.
- Turn sharing on — a link appears.
- Use the copy button to grab it.
What the visitor sees#
Whoever opens the link sees the note read-only. Text, images, drawings, code blocks, and the cover are all there. Nothing can be edited.
The page is prepared properly for search engines and social networks: paste the link into Telegram or anywhere else and it unfurls with the title and a summary.
Stopping sharing#
Click Share again and switch it off. The link stops working immediately.
Things to keep in mind#
- Anyone with the link can read the note — there is no password.
- Edits to the note appear on the public page too.
- Wikilinks inside the note stay as plain text on the public page unless those notes are shared as well.
Other kinds of sharing#
Whole folders and the knowledge map can be published too — read more.
