What is Flints?

Flints is a personal knowledge base. What separates it from an ordinary notes app is that your notes are not isolated files — they form an interconnected network.

The core idea#

In a normal notes app you file information into folders and search for it later. The trouble is that one idea usually belongs in several places at once, and a folder forces you to pick exactly one.

Flints takes a different route. You write a note, and inside the text you refer to another note with [[double brackets]]. That creates a live link between the two. Over time those links become a map of how you actually think.

What you can do#

• Write — a rich editor with headings, lists, tables, code blocks, images, drawings, and mathematical equations.
• Link — connect notes with [[wikilinks]], and use backlinks to answer "what else refers to this?"
• See — watch every note and every connection between them in an interactive map.
• Organize — folders, tabs, quick search, and a document outline.
• Share — publish any note, folder, or your whole map with a single link.
