Welcome to Flints

Flints is a place to store thoughts that actually stay connected.

Most note apps are digital filing cabinets — you save something, and later you can't find it. Flints works differently: every note can link to other notes with simple [[wikilinks]]. Type [[ and a note title, and the two are connected forever. Open any note and the Link Map at the bottom shows how your ideas are linked, like a map of your own mind.

What you can do right away#

• Write naturally. Notes are pure text with lightweight markdown — no formatting fights.
• Link ideas. Use [[Note title]] to connect notes so nothing lives in isolation.
• Explore the map. Switch to graph view to see hidden patterns between your notes.
• Go anywhere. Open a linked note with one click and keep following the trail.

Two small notes to start#

When you sign in for the first time, you'll find two sample notes already waiting: Welcome to Flints and Second Step. They're linked to each other on purpose — open the second one to see your very first backlink in action. You can keep them as a reference or delete them anytime.
